Workshops are 6h long, from 11 till 6pm, with one hour lunch break.

Where: Workshops take place in my studio by the ExCeL London.

How much: Each workshop costs £175 per person. max 4 students. This includes all materials.

What: Discovered in 1851 by Frederick Scott Archer, the Wet Plate Collodion process allowed the first glass negatives and the consequent reproduction of one same image on various albumen prints. With shorter exposure times and lower production costs, this process, was the most popular photographic technique between the 1850s and the 1880s. Learn how to print on glass and tin using this historically significant photographic process.

How: This is the only one day course in London that covers tintypes (wet collodion on tin) and ambrotyes (glass). We will do as many as the time allows.You can bring your own models from 2pm onward. You can also bring objects, backgrounds and anything you might wish to have in your photographs. We can also do self portraits. I will give you a handout on the day but you can always get back to me if you have any questions. The course is designed so that you feel confident to work independently afterwards.

If you want, you can also bring your own camera and we can have a look at your equipment and test it out. However, there is no obligation to bring models on the day. The only thing that you need to bring with you is comfy old clothes, because the process is physically demanding and it might also stain your clothes. (I´ll give you plastic aprons, but just in case).
